Accessibility Statement

Our Commitment

StrataFit is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards.

We also seek to align with the Australian Government's accessibility requirements under the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (Cth) and the associated Web Accessibility National Transition Strategy.

Measures We Take

  • Semantic HTML landmarks so screen readers can navigate the page structure.
  • Sufficient colour contrast ratios (minimum 4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text) across light and dark themes.
  • All interactive controls are keyboard-focusable and have visible focus indicators.
  • We aim for touch targets of at least 44 × 44 px on mobile viewports. Our shared buttons enforce this minimum on small screens. Some compact controls — filter chips, tag toggles and similar inline selectors — are smaller than that. WCAG 2.1 Level AA does not set a minimum target size, so this is a goal we set ourselves rather than a conformance requirement, and we are working through the remaining controls.
  • Images, icons, and charts include alternative text or ARIA labels.
  • Skip-to-content link available at the top of every page for keyboard users.
  • Form inputs are associated with visible labels and inline error messages.
  • Modal dialogs trap focus correctly and restore it on close.

Known Limitations

Despite our best efforts, some areas of StrataFit do not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA. We list known limitations honestly below so users can make informed decisions. We are actively working to resolve each item.

  • Progress and analytics charts (WCAG 1.1.1 — Non-text content) — Charts on the Dashboard and Progress pages include a short ARIA label, but do not yet provide a full data table alternative. Screen-reader users may receive only a brief summary rather than access to the underlying data points. We plan to add toggleable data tables for all chart types in a future release.
  • Video form-check — no captions (WCAG 1.2.2 — Captions, prerecorded) — The AI Form Analysis feature accepts short video uploads and returns visual overlay feedback. Recorded videos and their AI-generated commentary currently have no captions or audio descriptions. This feature should be considered inaccessible to users who are Deaf or hard of hearing until captions are added.
  • Exercise demonstration videos (WCAG 1.2.3 — Audio description) — Exercise library demonstration videos sourced from third-party providers may lack audio descriptions of the on-screen action. We are working with providers to source captioned alternatives and will add audio descriptions where technically feasible.
  • Camera-based form analysis — motor accessibility (WCAG 2.1.1 — Keyboard) — Initiating a live camera session for real-time form feedback requires physical camera interaction and may not be fully operable for users with certain motor disabilities. An alternative text-based coaching input is available as a workaround via the AI Coach chat.
  • Some modal dialogs on iOS Safari (WCAG 4.1.3 — Status messages) — Certain confirmation modals may not reliably announce status messages to VoiceOver on iOS 16 or earlier. We recommend using iOS 17 or later for the best screen-reader experience on iPhone.

We aim to respond to all accessibility enquiries within 5 business days. If you are unable to complete a task due to a barrier, let us know and we will endeavour to provide the information or service through an alternative means.

Feedback & Complaints

We welcome feedback on the accessibility of StrataFit. If you are not satisfied with our response to an accessibility concern, you may contact the Australian Human Rights Commission, which handles complaints under the Disability Discrimination Act 1992.
